 《纳米毒理学》全书分上、中、下三篇，共二十六章。上篇九章为纳米毒理学绪论部分，介绍或讨论了为理解纳米毒理学所需要了解的一些预备知识，对《纳米毒理学》所遵循的粒子的观点进行了较为详细的论述，并将基本粒子、化学性粒子及纳米粒子与物质问的相互作用方式及对生物组织损伤的特点进行了详细的比较。中篇十一章是对目前为止的对纳米粒子对人体及生物体毒性作用研究资料或观察到的毒理现象的介绍。下篇六章则是对纳米生物安全性中目前的热点．粒子对大气环境的污染问题的探讨，较为详细地介绍了大气环境中粒子的毒性及毒理问题，并介绍了经典毒理学中关于气载粒子毒理学的研究成果、对人体的危害及其医疗处理方法。
